Additional Charges

Vehicle Environmental Recovery Fee (VERF)

• USD $3.00 per day.
  

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) - Covers BUDGET'S CAR (The rented vehicle)

• Cost is USD $14.95 per day for all vehicles except premium (NO DEDUCTIBLES)
• Cost is USD $16 per day for premium (NO DEDUCTIBLES)
• Cost is USD $17 per day for vans (NO DEDUCTIBLES)
• Cost is USD $19 per day for SUV's and Luxury rentals (NO DEDUCTIBLES)
• Cost is USD $25/day for Jaguar (USD $600 DEDUCTIBLE)
• CDW is mandatory unless customer's credit card offers coverage .  Check with your credit card company.  Some companies do not offer this coverage for international rentals.
• If customer declines CDW, customer is responsible for the full value of the vehicle
• In case of an accident, customer must obtain a police report

Third Party Liability Waiver (TPLW) - Covers Third Party's car(s) in multiple car accident

• Cost is USD $7.95 per day (NO DEDUCTIBLES)

• Cost is USD $9.95 per day for Jaguar (USD $600 DEDUCTIBLE)

• If customer declines liability customer's responsibility is limited to USD $1600

Personal Accident Protection (PAP)

• USD $3.00 per day
  

Other Important Information

Driving License

Upon presentation of a valid license from country of residence, each driver must purchase a Cayman Islands visitors driving permit at a cost of US$7.50 per person and is valid for the duration of your stay.

Driving on Grand Cayman

Remember, you must drive on the left-hand side of the road throughout the Cayman Islands. The law also requires mandatory wearing of seat belts. 

Required Age for Rental

The minimum age required to rent to a vehicle is 21.  There is an additional US$10 a day surcharge for renters between the ages of 21 and 24.

American Express, MasterCard, Visa, US Dollars, Caymanian Dollars

Gas Charges

At the end of the rental the vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as when it was originally rented or fuel charges will apply.

Additional Drivers

Additional drivers must meet the same requirements as the primary driver.  For each additional driver  is a US$2 a day fee.

Child or Infant Seats

Child or Infant seats are available at a cost of US $6.00 per day and are available on a first come first serve basis.
